ARTS FOR EDUCATION , ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT &THE ENVIRONMENT
We focus on creating new pathways for learning using an arts based approach to challenges facing rural and peri-urban youth and women. We help build the confidence and self esteem of girls and young people in vulnerable and rural communities. Our focus is on improving their access to education and opportunities. We believe that the arts are an incredible tool for learning. Our goal is to see more girls going and completing school towards a career pathway of their choice no matter their backgrounds and situations. More and more young people must access space and opportunity using various artistic skills and talents. We want to see more young people using their arts to drive their communities and hence their livelihood! Women must discover their art , grow from their art and excel through their art.
CREATING A PATHWAY FOR RURAL AND
PERI-URBAN YOUTH AND WOMEN THROUGH EDUCATIONAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND ARTISTIC DIMENSIONS.
Chinese philosopher and reformer Confucius (551 BC to 479 BC), stated “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.” Rise N Shine trust strongly believes that 'the art of doing is the art of learning.' Poetry, Dance, Drama, Painting, Drawing, Sculpting, Sewing, Carpentry and Knitting are all part of the great visual performance arsenal that we believe contribute to building confident, assertive young people whose circumstances are not always favorable to their growth,
education and their environment.
